The theory of social production  is systematically formulated  in terms and concepts of classical political economy and neo-classical economics in such a way that the content of the book could be available not only to professional researchers in areas of the theory of production  and economic growth, but also to the scientifically literate reader, who is wishing to get acquainted with principles of functioning of a national economy. The  book can be considered  as a text-book for  students of various specialities who have indispensable preparation on physics, economics, and  mathematics and desire to specialize in economics.

It is demonstrated in the monograph, how the growth of production is connected with achievements in technological consumption of labour and energy. The theory allows to analyse the past and the present of the social production system and to build scripts of the future progress. The monograph could be interesting for energy specialists, who are engaged in planning and analysing production and consumption of energy carriers and determining energy policy, and for economists, who want to know how energy and technology are affecting economic growth.

This monograph is, in fact, a completely revised and enlarged publication of my book  Physical principles in the theory of economic growth, issued by  Ashgate,  Aldershott et cet, in year 1999. I used the opportunity of this  edition to clarify description as far as it was possible for me.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
